Youth Golf Lessons
Golf lessons will begin in June, 2012 They will be followed by within-County competition and inter-County competitions in July. Youth ages 7 to 17 are eligible for golf lessons. Participants from previous years may also take lessons again. The lessons offered in Greene County are held on the actual golf courses, including Blackhead Mtn. Lodge & Country Club in Round Top, Christman’s Windham House in Windham, Rainbow Golf Club in Greenville, Rip Van Winkle Country Club in Palenville, Thunderhart Golf Club in Freehold and Windham Country Club in Windham. The lessons are for a total of 6 hours, usually 1 1/2 to 3 hours at a time.
To date we have trained over 8,000 youth. We also offer golf club sets at seriously reduced rates.

For 2012, we have made significant improvements in our overall approach to the introduction and advancement of golf skill, knowledge and execution.. These changes are necessitated by the immense success we have had with our program to date. We have added golf progress tracking from no skill or knowledge through advanced skill and knowledge toward professional execution.
Our Graduate ID Card , which allows free greens fees at all seven member golf courses, can now be obtained by completing introductory lessons, the golf league or advanced lessons with Peter Maassmann, PGA Pro.

Christman’s Windham House: June 25th through June 30th at 4pm; Rainbow Golf Club: June 5,7, 11, 13, 19, 20 at 4pm - 5:30pm; Thunderhart Golf Club:
June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 5:30-6:15; and a second group 6:15-7:00pm; Rip Van Winkle Country Club: June 7, 14, 21 6:30-8:00pm, Windham Country Club: TBA;
Blackhead Mountain Lodge & Country Club: Advanced Lessons Only (Please call Peter Maassmann: 622-3157) Dates are June 5, 12 & 19 starting at 5pm.
